Nationwide Musicians' Moment of Silence

As the nation continues to mourn the senseless violence that claimed so many innocent lives in Newtown, Connecticut last Friday, musicians around the country are organizing to send a message of sympathy and unity.

All musicians are asked to observe a moment of silence at every musical performance in the USA on Saturday, December 22nd, 2012 at 10:00 PM in whatever time zone they are performing.

It is hoped that practitioners in other areas of the performing arts will join musicians in honoring the memory of these innocent victims -- one of whom was the daughter of a musician.

This action will also show that artists stand unified in their desire to prevent such tragedies in the future.
