Saturday's show is shaping up to be more than a concert. ToeJam Backlot and Miami Movie Cars are teaming up to present Blues on the Rocks with the Pitbull of Blues Band alongside a Cruise-In Car & HD Cycle Show, with a bike ride-out planned for the night, and support from Tattoos by Lou, DW Detail World, and Red's Miami. The evening also features special guests and an open mic at midnight, plus bar and BBQ specials. Cover is a $20 "Band-Aid," with advance tickets available for $15 through Eventbrite. Doors open at 8:00 PM. Those riding or driving in for the car and bike show can DM through their social media ToeJam Backlot to register for inside parking.
Josh Rowand, known as the “Pitbull of the Blues,” is a Florida-based blues guitarist, vocalist and songwriter whose music draws from traditional blues, blues-rock and Southern roots influences. A longtime presence on Florida’s blues scene, Rowand has performed at clubs, festivals and special events throughout the state, building his reputation through an energetic guitar-driven approach and a strong connection to the blues tradition.
As leader of the Pitbull of Blues Band, Rowand has represented Florida blues societies in the International Blues Challenge competition circuit and has continued to perform and record while maintaining an active role in Florida’s blues community. His Miami appearance brings a seasoned Florida blues performer to the stage, combining original material with the guitar-centered sound that has defined his work as the “Pitbull of the Blues.”
Located in the heart of Miami's arts district, ToeJam Backlot has built a reputation as one of the city's distinctive independent live music venues.
