Tas Cru & Mary Ann Casale – “Gone Southbound” Tour Hits Three Corners of Florida
Bradenton • Pensacola • St. Augustine Beach • Englewood • Fort Myers • Sebastian, Florida
Tas Cru returns to Florida this December with his “Gone Southbound” tour, bringing a full evening of blues built on original songs, strong grooves, and road-seasoned ensemble playing. On this run, he notes that he will be performing a generous amount of new material, including songs from bandmate Mary Ann Casale’s new release, “Where I Belong.”
Tas Cru is known for writing and performing blues that draws on experience, observation, and a storyteller’s eye for detail. His shows emphasize songs over showmanship, with arrangements that give space to the band while keeping the focus on the stories, rhythms, and interaction with the audience.
Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mary Ann Casale adds an acoustic and roots-centered dimension to these performances. Her work blends folk, blues, and Americana influences, with an emphasis on clear melodies and direct, thoughtful lyrics. Her latest recording, “Where I Belong,” will be featured across the tour, giving Florida audiences an early chance to hear the new material live.

Blues and groove will be at the forefront of the next Tampa Jazz Club performance as it presents the Dominic Walker Trio on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 3:00 PM. These Sunday afternoon concerts are part of the HCC Visual & Performing Arts Series and are held in the Mainstage Theatre at Hillsborough College (formerly HCC). The venue is located at 1411 E. 11th Avenue in Tampa.
Dominic Walker has been a fixture on the Tampa Bay jazz scene since receiving his Master of Music in Jazz Performance from USF nearly a decade ago. He was a host on WUSF Radio’s “All Night Jazz,” can now be heard occasionally on WMNF’s “Jazz in the Night,” and for the last two years has held a Friday night residency at DI Coffee Bar on Davis Islands. Walker will be joined by fellow USF jazz alumni:
Dr. John C. O’Leary III
— organ/keys, of Best of the Bay trio La Lucha
Paul Gavin
— drums, whose own bands have headlined across the state
The trio specializes in a blues-forward mix of standards, originals, and creatively reimagined covers, with a sound reminiscent of Wes Montgomery’s collaborations with the legendary jazz organist Jimmy Smith.
Fresh from the release of their 2025 album “Hurricane Summer”, recorded during last year’s intense storm season, the Dominic Walker Trio is forecast to deliver gales of improvisation and torrents of soul for an invigorating Sunday afternoon of live music.
