Josh Rowand, known as the “Pitbull of the Blues,” is a Florida-based blues guitarist, vocalist and songwriter whose music draws from traditional blues, blues-rock and Southern roots influences. A longtime presence on Florida’s blues scene, Rowand has performed at clubs, festivals and special events throughout the state, building his reputation through an energetic guitar-driven approach and a strong connection to the blues tradition.
As leader of the Pitbull of Blues Band, Rowand has represented Central Florida in the International Blues Challenge competition circuit and has continued to perform and record while maintaining an active role in Florida’s blues community. His Miami appearance brings a seasoned Florida blues performer to the stage, combining original material with the guitar-centered sound that has defined his work as the “Pitbull of the Blues.”
