Doug Bell & Bellevue Cadillac | Garage Blues |Fri Nov 22, 8pm  ($25-45)

Singer-songwriter Bell plays guitar, ukulele and piano and is the front man and bandleader of the all-American, all original Bellevue Cadillac, whose sound is a unique blend that Rolling Stone coined "Jazz, gospel, blues and soul, swing on top of rock & roll."

Bellevue's music has appeared in major motion pictures like Me, Myself and Irene, Shallow Hal, and Delta Rising along with TV shows The Sopranos, Ed, and Sex and the City. To date, Bellevue Cadillac has collaborated with Duke Ellington, Sammy Davis Jr., Ray Charles, James Brown, and Tito Puente. The group has appeared in cover stories in Rolling Stone, Jazziz, Blues Review, and People magazines.

This performance at the Arts Garage will feature the smooth soulful voice of LeNard Rutledge, Brenda Alford, Jesse Jones Jr., piano virtuoso Mike Gerber, swinging bassist Paul Shewchuk, and Kevin Campfield driving the band on drums and vocals.

Mark Ford is a vigorous percussionist who performs regularly across countries at music festivals in South America, Asia, Australia and Europe. When performing, Ford blesses his audiences with his refreshing sounds and a professional delivery so much that he has been coined a “marimba specialist”. Although, Mark Ford has achieved great success with numerous marimba and percussion albums and continues to lead an active musician lifestyle; he serves as educator at University of North Texas where he assists in leading one of the largest percussion programs in the United States.
