The 13th Annual New Smyrna Beach Jazz Festival, an intimate indoor event, opens September 27, 2013. All events take place either on or nearby Flagler Avenue in downtown New Smyrna Beach on Florida's northeast coastline, just south of Daytona Beach.

This Year's Festival is dedicated to the memory of George West who passed away earlier this year. Dr. West brought his Stetson Jazz Ensembles to several New Smyrna Beach Jazz Festivals, thrilling the crowds.  Influencing countless students and colleagues throughout an academic career that spanned over 50 years, he devoted his professional life to advocating for jazz education and celebrating a truly American art form.
