It’s Amelia Island Blues Festival Week in Historic Downtown Fernandina Beach!



This Friday and Saturday downtown will be filled with the sounds of Chicago Blues, Mississippi Delta Blues and Blues Rock/Funk and foot stomping blues street performer Ben Prestage.

Friday the 13th, (now don’t freak about Friday the 13th!!!) starts out with the Fernandina Beach High School Blues in School Band with Roger “Hurricane” Wilson to open up for blues master Albert Castiglia at 5:30pm. The stage will be set up on Centre Street as on a regular Sounds on Centre Event.

NOTE: Although this night’s performance is a free event we encourage everyone to bring a can good donation for the Amelia Island Barnabas Food Bank.” The Barnabas truck will be right next to the stage.

There will be an After Party at the Palace Saloon starting around 10PM. Don’t miss it.

Then on Saturday the 14th, the Festival will move to the Riverfront Boat trailer parking area, starting at 11am. This day is a ticketed event.

 Here is the schedule:

10:30am – Gates open to VIP and Sponsors only
11:00  - Gates open to general public

• 11:15  -  12:00 Claudette King – BB King’s very talented youngest daughter

• 12:15pm   -  1:00   Josh Miller Band

• 1:15  -  2:00  Roger Hurricane Wilson w/ Shuffle Junkies

• 2:15  -  3:30  John Nemeth Band

• 3:45  -  5:00  Zac Harmon

• 5:15  -  6:30  Ana Popovic

• 6:45 – 8:00 Mud Morganfield - Muddy Waters’ son keeping the Chicago blues alive.

Advance tickets for Saturday are $20 p/p and are available for purchase from Ticketbud and at selected outlets until 3pm, Sept 13, 2013. VIP tickets are $50 p/p and also available at Ticketbud
