Jamie Ousley Trio at Sunshine State Interfaith Power & Light Environmental Fair In Gainesville

Great jazz for a great cause!

Yesterday was a beautiful day in Gainesville Florida, with spring in full swing and happy people everywhere. As bright and sunny as the day was, Jamie Ousley brought his trio to B'nai Israel to partake in the Interfaith Power & Light Environmental Fair and made the day even better. And the company of SAMM and Ben Champion was the the icing on the cake.

Jamie's latest CD release, A Sea of Voices, was dedicated to the mission of
Interfaith Power & Light and is an excellent musical representation of the beauty of life. I defer to Edward Blanco who wrote a review of the CD for further words on Jamie and the CD: http://www.allaboutjazz.com/php/article.php?id=41138#.UX7wVaLU8uc

Here is another excellent review from a pro: http://www.allaboutjazz.com/php/article.php?id=42255#.UX7wU6LU8uc

All proceeds from this day's sales of the CD went to the organization.  The CD is available HERE.

Yes, it was even better than this!

Music, with a message... (L-R)  SAMM, Jamie Ousley, Ben Champion

SAMM has a way with words, and music! Enjoy the theme song of the day...

Ben travels the state and plays with THE BEST of Florida's jazz musicians (and anytime he is the room, one of THE BEST OF THE BEST is that room!) and often plays alongside Jamie in South Florida. Be sure to catch Ben in a larger group at the upcoming Gainesville Jazz Festival!

Jamie and Walt Barry - a true community supporter of the arts!
Enjoy!
