11th Gainesville Jazz Festival - May 4, 2013 - POSTPONED UNTIL MAY 11TH DUE TO WEATHER



GainesvilleFriends of Jazz, along with Presenting Sponsor Lowry Financial Advisors and Main Stage Sponsor Affordable Dentures, proudly presents the 11th Annual Gainesville Jazz Festival.  The festival this year is a one-day, free admission event being held on May 4, 2013.  Marty Liquori, Vice-President of Gainesville Friends of Jazz, is the executive director for the festival.

The festival begins on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at The Square at Tioga Town Center located at 13100 West Newberry Road in Gainesville.  Performing at the festival will be the Hot Club de Ville at 6:00 p.m., Zac Chester Quartet at 7:00 p.m., Ben Champion Quartet at 8:00 p.m., Gruv Therapy at 9:00 p.m. and Little Jake and the Soul Searchers at 10:00 p.m.

The Hot Club de Ville features Marty Liquori, on guitar, Thompson Fletcher, on guitar, Geoff Perry, on violin, Michael Bergemen, on accordion, and Dave Forbes, on bass.  The Zac Chester Quartet features Zac Chester, on piano, Dennis Marion, on trumpet, Lawrence Buckner, on bass, and Mark McKnight, on drums.

The Ben Champion Quartet features Ben Champion, on saxophone, Brian Murphy, on piano, Ali Che’Ree, on bass, and Danny Burger, on drums.  Gruv Therapy features, Mike Hutley, on saxophone, Ray Minter, on guitar, Richard Patrick, on drums, and Angel Cardec, on percussion.

Little Jake and the Soul Searchers features Jake Mitchell, on vocals, Charlie Blade, on saxophone, Schelvin Robinson, on trumpet, Brian Stevens, on trombone, Bruce Brasher, on organ, Charles Henry, on guitar, Allen McCollum, on bass, and Hal Saylor, on drums and vocals.

Following the festival, join us for an After Hours Jazz Jam at World of Beer from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
