Allen Kanovsky's take on Tuesday, Part Two - Famous Frank's Blue Tuesday Birthday Brings out the STARS

Allen's blog about Tuesday, November 19 (posted 11/20/13, continued:

Famous Frank with a Famously LARGE Chocolate Martini!
Charlie told me that we were heading to Boston's on the Beach in Delray for some BLUES and to celebrate Famous Frank Ward's birthday which is today. It is also Ms. Deborah Paiva's birthday. She is much younger than Frank or I.

It is also the 2d anniversary of the formation of the Otis Cadillac & the Eldorados  band.

In the audience are some old pals including Dave Cat in the Hat, Bella, Grace, Betty (shake that thang) Rosenthal and others who chose to stay unnamed. Deborah, Charlie and I are welcomed to joining Dave (cith) at his table. On stage are Famous Frank with Capt. Reese and Ken Burkhart. (sorry I didn't get the drummers name). Capt. Reese  is singing "Keep Your Hands on the Wheel". Folks are clappin', tappin' and dancin'. Next, Terry Hanck and his California Band takes the stage. "If I Don't Love You" is their opener followed by "Let Me Hold Your Hand". Frank and Ken join the band for a reggae rhythm "Changed My Mind". Franks birthday cake makes an appearance along with a giant sized 'chocolate martini' which is Franks beverage of choice.
Terry has owned the upper register of the tenor sax for a while and he shows it, playing notes that would challenge anyone else.
Terry is followed by Joey Gilmore. If you want to hear the BLUES, you listen to Joey. His opener "Steppin' In, Steppin' Out" sets the mood for fun and taking to the dance floor. The great American BLUES Book is his to play. You get to listen to tunes, past and present. When they do "I'm In Love With You" it trans to "Stormy Monday" and back.

Honored to be asked to join in on this picture with Bobby Nathan, taken by JoJo!

Al's Disclaimer:
A short note: The reason I write this is because I love music and words. I do not book acts. I do not promote acts. I do not accept invitations to review artists. I go to venues of my own choice. When and where is not influenced by anything other than who I would like to hear that night or day. If I don't like what I hear, I won't write about it. When I like it I let you all know. I never mention a name without asking permission. "Pardon me, Miss. Would you like to dance?"
