Mad Romance to perform live on South Florida Arts Beat

Mad Romance performs live on WLRN's South Florida Arts Beat, Friday, Feb. 13th at 1:00pm.
Mad Romance, South Florida's premiere Jazz vocal group (likened to Manhattan Transfer) have taken South Florida by storm. Comprised of veteran Jazz educators and performers, Rick Harris, Wendy Pedersen, Lisanne Lyons and Greg Diaz, the group swings the great American songbook. Classic American standards by Gershwin, Berlin, Cole Porter and others are re-arranged anew by these highly talented performers/arrangers/composers. The group performs a dizzying diversity of styles from mainstream Jazz, 1950's Mambo, lush ballads, cha-cha, to 1930's madcap swing, bebop, a cappella, bossa nova and a few off-the beaten-track tunes from the 60's and 70's. Superb, four-part, Jazz vocal harmony has found an expressive home with these creative, highly talented performers.
