Greetings from Beale Street! All the South & Central Florida acts have arrived in Memphis safely and are ready to perform on the first night of semi-finals in the International Blues Challenge, the worlds largest Blues competition. Over 160 of the world's best Blues acts have gathered on frigid Beale Street to ultimately award the title of "Best unsigned Blues act in the world" to the winners. Prizes include cash, festival gigs, free marketing/advertising, and most importantly, the attention of major labels and agencies.

The Blues Alliance of the Treasure Coast is represented by Stoney & the Houserockers in the band category and their venue for the Thursday & Friday semi-finals will be at the Hard Rock Cafe. Their time slots are 6:10 P.M. on Thursday & 7:55 on Friday.

Darrell Raines & George Caldwell representing the BATC in the solo/duo category will be competing at 9:00 P.M. on Thursday and 7:50 on Friday at King's Palace Cafe.

For the South Florida Blues Alliance, J.P. Soars & the Red Hots will be at the Double Deuce at 10:45 on Thursday and 7:50 on Friday.

Representing the Orange Blossom Blues Society are the Smokin' Torpedoes at Alfreds; 9:30 on Thursday 7:10 on Friday.

And Josh Miller's Blues Revue will be performing at 9:05 on Thursday and 6:45 on Friday at the Rum Boogie Cafe, representing the Space Coast Blues Society.

After the semi-finals are completed Friday night, the winners from each venue will be announced and the band finals will take place Saturday afternoon, with the solo/duo finals following Saturday night.

Also on Beale Street this weekend The Nouveaux Honkies will be performing in Memphis at the Flying Saucer on Friday night, Alfreds on Saturday night (after the IBC finals), and will close out the weekend with a show at Huey's Downtown on Sunday night.

Yes, there is too much going on to cover it all but we will do our best to support all South & Central Florida acts.

Best wishes and good luck to all!

Watch for future updates coming soon.
