BRUBECK BROTHERS QUARTET DEBUT IN FORT LAUDERDALE



Fort Lauderdale, FL - If you love Dave Brubeck, come hear his talented offspring, the Brubeck Brothers Quartet in concert on February 11 in Brubeck x 2. This exciting jazz group has been playing together all their lives and if there is such a thing as “born musicians,” then the accomplished brothers definitely qualify. Presented by the Gold Coast Jazz Society, the concert will take place at the Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, 201 SW 5th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The show begins at 7:45 pm. A pre-concert Jazz Riff jazz talk will be given by radio personality Stu Grant at 7:00pm in the theater before the show.

Dan Brubeck on drums and Chris Brubeck on trombone and bass have brought audiences to their feet all over the world. A composer, orchestral arranger, lyricist and performer, Chris Brubeck is equally at home playing jazz, rock, classical, fund and folk music. An award-winning composer, Chris has ben called “…a 21st century Leonard Bernstein” by John von Rhein of the Chicago Tribune. Dan Brubeck is the rhythmic force of the BBQ and has toured the international music circuit for more than two decades. The has led his own group, The Dolphins, in addition to performing with the legendary Dave Brubeck Quartet. As a featured soloist with many of the world’s top jazz artists, his original drumming style and use of odd time signatures, like father Dave, have earned him international acclaim. The Brubeck brothers will be joined by Chuck Lamb, pianist, composer and percussionist and Mike DeMicco, guitarist and composer. To learn more about the artists, go to www.brubeckmusic.com.
