Araya / Orta Latin Jazz Quartet

The Araya Orta Latin Jazz Quartet, is a group consisting of two pairs of brothers: Michael & Nicky Orta along with Carlomagno & Ramses Araya. They have been featured twice at Jazz in the Gables and received an enthusiastic response to their music. This group has performed at the FIA in Costa Rica in March 2010, the Riviera Maya Jazz Festival in Tulum, Mexico, and at the Teatro Nacional in Costa Rica where the quartet performed two concerts with special guests Paquito D'Rivera and Diego Urcola. The quartet performed at the Twin Cities Jazz Festival in St. Paul, MN. They also joined Ernie Watts and the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica at the Teatro Nacional in San Jose.

Dan Bonsanti brings his 14 Jazz Orchestra to the MJC Rent Party.  This band features Ed Calle, Jim Gasior, Dante Luciani, and ten other talented musicians.  The band's special guest will be Joe Donato.

Open Stage Club is one block north of Miracle Mile and one block west of Douglas Road (37 Avenue).  Open Stage Club is located on the street level of a municipal parking garage with plenty of convenient parking (garage entrance around the corner on Aragon Avenue).  There is metered parking available on the street.  Our advice is to park in the garage so you don't have to worry about the meter.
