Israeli cellist Amit Peled is acclaimed as one of the most exciting instrumentalists on the concert stage today. In an historic “Homage to Pablo Casals,” Mr. Peled will recreate Pablo Casals 1915 Peabody Institute Conservatory of Music recital, performed on Pablo Casals’ very own cello, a Goffriler ca. 1733, personally handed to Amit Peled by the Maestro’s widow, Mrs. Marta Casals Istomin.
