Swing & Jazz Preservation Society 2012-2013 Season Announced

& Jazz Preservation Society Season
 2012/2013 Concert Season

November 15, 2012
Jimmy Cavallo Octet. Very few tenor sax players are artists and showmen like Jimmy. You keep asking us to bring him back. His energy, and great sounds are a treat. Jimmy enjoys singing favorites made famous by Frank Sinatra and Louis Prima, backed by his talented sidemen.

December 13, 2012
The John Branzer Big Band, featuring John and his superb trumpet playing arrangements of the Harry James Band and other leaders of those wonderful big band days.

January 17, 2013
Bill Prince, a talented and versatile musician brings his group in to entertain. Bill plays most every instrument ever made. The group will play songs made famous by Count Basie, Benny Goodman, Louis Armstrong and others. An evening of fun-filled music and singing.

February 21, 2013
Gary Farr and his 16 piece All-Star Band. Piano maestro Farr provides a wide variety of musical genres, from party music, a touch of Rock & Roll, Motown, Disco and a dash of Latin spice. Vocalists Matt Farr and Danielle Natividad add to the variety of this evening's concert.

March 21, 2013
Today's Four Aces will sing the songs the original Four Aces made so popular; tunes like Tell Me Why, Love is a Many Splendored Thing, and others.
The Sid Parker Big Band and vocalist Lisanne Lyons will be here to swing out with a musical tribute to Count Basie. This will be a swingin' night!

April 18, 2013
The George Carroll Big Band will close out this season. George, an outstanding jazz pianist/singer and award winning composer brings his fine group of musicians to entertain. George was inspired by bandleader and visionary, Thad Jones and has fashioned his band in that vernacular. "Music is my engine," says George.
