The Sunshine Jazz Organization proudly co-sponsors this 6^th installment of the very important South Florida Jazz tribute founded by international recording artist and SJO member,  Ms. Alice Day. Please join us, be witness to this historic evening presented at Miami Shores Country Club. 

“The South Florida Jazz Hall Of Fame! We honor those who made/make it possible for us to participate and prosper, and those who have made an impact in the world of Jazz on these South Florida shores, and on the world stage.

This year, our chosen 2014 inductees include:

1. Jackie Davis - Hammond B3/Piano/Vocals *

2. Monica Crosby - Vocals *

3. Ed Bell – Jazz  Radio Personality

4. Robert “Bobby” Thomas, Jr. - Hand Drums/ Percussion

5. Simon Salz – Guitar *

6. Arturo Sandoval - Trumpet

Please join us for this historic event on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at the Miami Shores Country Club from 6PM until 9PM.  Come prepared to have a very good time. Also, our event co-sponsors, The Sunshine Jazz Organization, will sponsor a Silent Auction. Some great stuff, much of it one-of-a-kind, will be up for bids. We hope to see you there!”

The Sunshine Jazz Organization was founded in 1986 in Miami, Florida by a group of  Jazz lovers, musicians, educators and supporters, along with Jazz radio icon China Valles. Their common denominator was, and is, love and respect for JAZZ - America’s indigenous, classical music. Twenty-nine years later the SJO continues to present concerts, workshops, showcases and educational presentations.  SJO co-sponsors several community events each year, making live Jazz and cultural arts accessible to all communities and all ages. Your continued support is deeply appreciated!
