Skilled jazz guitarist
Albare, who is currently on tour promoting his latest album, ‘Only Human’ on
Alfi Records, shall be appearing at Boca Raton’s famed jazz club, JAZZIZ
Nightlife this Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 7:30 PM.
In keeping with the
global approach of ‘Only Human’ appearing with Albare are some of the world’s
greatest Cuban and Venezuelan musicians.
The all-star lineup includes pianist Axel Tosca Laugart, who is not only
considered one of today’s most outstanding young Cuban pianists but who is also
the son of the great Cuban singer Xiomara Lauguart, who will also be appearing as a guest with the
band.
Albare’s bass player is
Yunior Terry from the one of Cuba’s great musical families (his brother Yosvany
was nominated for a Grammy last year and his father is considered the world’s
greatest tsekere virtuoso). Albare’s
drummer, Pablo Bencid, has been busy in New York since graduating from Berklee
School of Music in Boston and brings a special Venezuelan swing to the music.
Percussionist Luisito
Quintero (in Venezuela the name Quintero represents a legendary dynasty of
famous musicians) has played with everyone from with Marc Anthony, Gloria
Estefan, Natalie Cole, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea and many many others. His most recent solo album received a Latin
Grammy nomination. Most notably he has
collaborated with Louie Vega’s Elements of Life project.

and hear this incredible band of players, all embraced by the lyrical jazz of
Albare’s guitar. We especially encourage
you to take the opportunity to hear Xiomara Laugart, who is widely considered
to be the greatest voice in contemporary Cuban music today.
