Music Is Art For The Soul - Eustis' 5th Annual Jazz Revue

On March 27, 2015, the Eustis Band Program invites you to their 5th Annual Jazz Revue. A night with a three course meal, served with an evening of the Arts. It will feature live Jazz performances by the Eustis High Panther and Eustis Middle Mustang Jazz Ensembles, student soloists with returning guest artist Jeff Rupert and guest MC local Cindy Curtis, music director and advocate.

The event is held at the First Baptist Church of Eustis, at 3551 E Orange Ave in Eustis. This event attracts many business leaders, as well as community leaders because 100% of the proceeds go directly back to the Eustis Band Program and provides music, equipment and instruments for children in 6th thru 12th grade.

This fundraiser is a great way to get close and personal with the current and future leaders of our community. The evening starts at 5:00 p.m. You will have all your senses filled starting with the foyer lined with beautiful art created by the band students. Music Is Art For The Soul is on it's second year as part of this event. So the doors are open to community and family members of our student artist that may not be attending the Jazz Revue Dinner and Concert, but still have an opportunity to place a bid or just to view these original works of canvas art.  It is a silent auction and will have many paintings of all art styles. The band students demonstrate that they are artistic in many ways by doing more than one art. No matter if you like Abstract, Minimalism, Graffiti Art, Postmodernism, or Post-postmodernism the artistic minds of the band students will show you just how inspired they really are. Picture represented is 10th Grader  Kailie Barnett and is of a multi grade and class original art. Each class participated on these large concept pieces as well as had duo and trio paintings, teaching true teamwork and trust in each other because the class before would not know what the class after would add or cover. So a true test of youth collaboration. Some pieces were kindly donated such as four art pieces from our own retired Public Defender Skip Babb and even an artist from Navada Ronald Joinken sent in some original pieces to be auctioned off. At no cost to the band budget or the band students this fundraiser is payed for by using many small donations and discounts so all monies raised goes directly to helping a child who may not afford band fees, entry fees or an instrument.

While enjoying the Art Gallery and finding your reserved seats, the Eustis High School Culinary Department prepares your delicious meal including salad, dinner, rolls, dessert and beverage. Once seated, you are then served at your table, your dinner is served by the band students, who will soon be performing the music from these award winning bands. Many of these 12 to 18 year old band students have gone through the entire Eustis Band Program, starting even earlier at the elementary school level via Seminole Springs Elementary. The meal is served at 6:30 p.m.

TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW! Each ticket is $30.00, and this year all seating is reserved seating (please mention if seating a large party together and/or the need for a vegetarian meal) and may be purchased by a secure paypal using the band website http://www.eustisband.com/
