Eustis Band Programs receive all Superiors as they prepare for Concert Fundraiser

The Eustis School Jazz Bands recently competed in the Florida Bandmasters Association (FBA) District 19 Music Performance Assessment held Thursday, February 19th, at West Point High School in Ocala Florida.  The Eustis Middle School Mustang Jazz Ensemble, and both of the Eustis High School Panther Jazz Bands all received Straight Superior ratings. The Superior rating is the highest rating given. On Friday February 20, individual students of the Eustis Band Programs participated in the FBA District 19 Music Performance Assessment at Eustis High School.  All of which also earned the highest rating of
Superior.

The Eustis Band Programs performs many times within and around Lake County throughout the year. These talented children have also performed and won numerous awards at national contests over the last several years. 

Gerry Ricke has been the Director of Bands at Eustis Middle School since 1994, and works very closely with Eustis High School Panther Band Director, Matthew Flenner, to have a unique program between both schools.

You may experience and help both band programs by attending The 5th Annual Eustis Jazz Revue (Dinner and Show), held at the First Baptist Church of Eustis, located at 3551 East Orange Avenue.  Enjoy performances by gifted soloists, all three ensembles and special guest, Yamaha Performing Artist, Jeff Rupert.

The Jazz students are all in 7th-12th grade. They will start the evening by seating you as a guest, then serve you a three course meal prepared by the Culinary Students of Eustis High under the direction of Chef Nicole Austin. (vegetarian meals are available, request when
ordering tickets).  Solo performances will be played during dinner, then things get groovy. Our guest artist, Jeff Rupert, will jam out with the students and directors.

This is a large community event and every seat will sell out. These programs raise 90% of the needed funds each year, so this "Fun"draiser is not only fun, but very important.
