The great performer, composer, pianist and jazz legend, the
three-time Grammy winner and recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts
Jazz Masters Award, Ramsey Lewis, joined by His Electric Band and
vocalist and guest percussionist Philip Bailey from Earth, Wind &
Fire for an enticing evening of jazz and R&B classics.
In 1974, Lewis - who'd been recording since the 1950s - collaborated with Earth, Wind & Fire. Sun Goddess, the result of this creative summit, reached across the musical rainbow and became a huge crossover hit, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Jazz Album chart, and No. 12 in the Top 200. It's a classic and million-selling album.
