Join your jazz community friends for an evening with Arturo O’Farrill, the Grammy-winning pianist and composer known for his work with the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra and for championing Afro-Latin jazz through performance and education.
About Arturo O’Farrill
Born in Mexico and raised in New York, Arturo O’Farrill has built a wide-ranging career as a performer, composer, and educator. He is the founder and Artistic Director of the Afro Latin Jazz Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and advancing Afro-Latin jazz traditions through concerts, education, and community programs.
O’Farrill’s work has been recognized with multiple Grammy Awards, including the 2016 GRAMMY for Best Instrumental Composition for “The Afro Latin Jazz Suite,” and the 2023 GRAMMY for Best Latin Jazz Album for Fandango at the Wall in New York.
