On February 22, 2020 Steglich Ross and Associates and Church Street Entertainment will present The Orlando International Jazz Festival featuring Sheila E along with Najee, Four80East, JJ Sansaverino and the Apopka High School Band.

Sheila E. was born into a family of great musicians including her percussionist father Pete Escovedo, uncle Coke Escovedo and godfather Tito Puente.  Exceptionally talented and well-loved, Sheila E. has remained relevant for more than five decades.  At age five, Sheila made her first public appearance and after a solo performance, realized she was going to be a percussionist.  The drummer, singer, songwriter, author, humanitarian, and musical icon still follows the beat of her own drum and continues to give her audiences extraordinary live performances.  Najee, a New England Conservatory of Music alumnus, has worked with some of music’s elite including Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder and Herbie Hancock.  Najee’s eighteenth recording, Center of the Heart, showcases his technical agility, grace, passion and fearlessness on every track.  An astute soprano, tenor, and alto saxophonist and flautist, he has collaborated with some of the best in the business including Kenny Lattimore, pianist Greg Manning, saxophonist Darren Rahn, and keyboardist/producer Demonte Posey.  Four80East is a Toronto-based studio band that began as an outlet to play improvisational dance music.  In 2015, the group released their seventh studio album, Positraction, and solidified their self-proclaimed “trip-jazz” sound.  JJ Sansaverino has multiple Billboard-charting singles and three highly acclaimed CDs over the past twenty-five years.  The New York guitarist has played to millions while touring the world with his “Benson meets Santana” musical style.  The Berklee School of Music graduate and award winner brings his vibe of smooth jazz, r & b, and reggae to solo performances and to collaborations with artists including Maxi Priest, Gerald Albright, Sean Paul, Rick Braun and the Marley Family.

Steglich Ross and Associates and Church Street Entertainment will partner with HAPCO which creates programs to help young people in Central Florida further their education through music and arts.  Supported by HAPCO, a performance by the Apopka High School Band will also be featured.  Visit http://hapcopromo.org/about-hapco/.  Artwork commissioned and created by Everett Spruill will be available on line and at the festival along with other merchandise.  Spruill, who graduated from Berea College in Kentucky where he studied Business Management.  He is most known for his early collages and works on paper, including his “Old School Jazz and Blues Series” which features colorful mixed-media collages of the fathers and legends of jazz, America’s unique art form.  His creations are featured in two of Walt Disney World’s Black Heritage Celebrations and seven works for the Amway Art Collection.  Spruill currently conducts workshops for youth through his non-profit arts foundation.  Visit www.everett-spruill.pixels.com.
