...to the artists I did not hear, CRA Pompano Beach, Pompano Beach Arts and its Exec, Alyona Ushe, my thousands of readers(8 or 10), my pals and dance partners:
The song was written by Al
Hoffman, Al Goodhart and Ed Nelson in 1931, the year of my birth. It was
recorded by Bing Crosby in 1934 and later on, in 1948, was a Billy
Eckstine hit.
I've had my head on a pillow for the most of yesterday evening and this morning. Feeling somewhat restored I will resume my "Lush Life" tonight------with G-ds help!!!

In the words of Billy Eckstine recorded in 1948 "I
Apologize". Sincerely, I apologize for failing to get to the 2nd nite of
the Sea of JAZZFest at the Amp. My excuse is fatigue. My 83 years occasionally
catch up with me. My late night adventures and the joy provided by listening to
the music make life worth living. I regret not hearing The Clayton
Brothers, The Ken Peplowsi Quintet, and The Christian McBride Trio when they
appeared last night at the 2nd night of the first of many to come SEA OF
JAZZ FESTs.
If I made you blue,
I've had my heartaches too.
Now I beg of you,
Forgive me
From the bottom of my heart
I apologize.

A short note: The reason I write this is because I love music and words. I do not book acts. I do not promote acts. I do not accept invitations to review artists. I go to venues of my own choice. When and where is not influenced by anything other than who I would like to hear that night or day. If I don't like what I hear, I won't write about it. When I like it I let you all know. I never mention a name without asking permission. "Pardon me, Miss. Would you like to dance?"
