ABOUT THE BENEFICIARY OF THE OCEAN OF LIGHT AND SOUND BENEFIT CONCERT

Margo Gignac is a 21-year old woman, former ballerina and a vital presence in the Coconut Grove Ballet Academy.  Margo was involved in a devastating car accident in December 2010 that left her a quadriplegic.  Margo's single mother was forced to quit her full-time job to become Margo’s caretaker, while also raising her two other children.  Margo and her mother do not have the means to continue to fund Margo's rehabilitation.  There is an optimum window of opportunity for Margo to improve and regain some of her faculties, which all the experts agree is within the first two years.  Hence, the urgency to have as much therapy available to her as soon as possible, along with the money to fund it.
