of Richard Rodgers (of Rodgers & Hammerstein

fame). He was one of the youngest professors ever

to teach at the Berklee College of Music

(the world's largest music college). Along with

Col. Bruce Hampton, he became one of the

founding members of the legendary

southern band The Codetalkers.
