Anthony Wild's Gonna have to call a tow-truck Release - Timeless Tales of The Blues

Anthony Wild
An All American Blues Musician

With inspiration and experience ranging over years of the Blues, Anthony Wild brings you back to a time when music was pure, raw and exciting. Join and take part in his plentiful journey’s with his latest release, written and titled on personal experience, Gonna have to call a tow-truck. Produced by Kenny Neal, you KNOW it's gotta be good!

“Music has always been about healing and expression for me. Its an avenue to releasing what is inside your soul. It’s why I’ve always been so attracted to the blues, because I’ve lived them.” - Anthony Wild.

Originally from Wisconsin, Anthony began singing at 4 years of age. This served as a basis to inspire him to continue during his teen years, as he began to sing and record after his family moved to Florida.

This would eventually change, several years later, after moving to Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1994. This is where he began to perform locally in clubs, festivals and concerts and pick up his dream to pursue blues singing once again, bringing him new inspiration.

His drive to pursue blues singing was challenged when he later on in life developed a cancer. He was blessed with the overwhelming love and support of wonderful and faithful friends in his life who uplifted him throughout this battle. Their faith and Anthony’s endurance brought him to the idea that, after being given a second chance, he should devote himself to helping kids find their musical passion in life. As he had had a great value in music throughout his entire life, he decided that he should give back to those who are inspired within the younger generations in the same way: through music. This is when Kids Rock the Nation was founded. By mentoring young kids through gifting them with instruments and encouraging their musical growth, he gains an uplifting sense of satisfaction and confidence in his choice.

Through his Kids Rock the Nation program, he wishes to provide schools and groups of kids with the key to a long and prosperous musical career. From the submissions provided to Kids Rock the Nation, one requirement of the selected kids is their desire to learn, so he targets settings where that will be highly encouraged. In this way, Kids Rock the Nation has donated countless instruments across the US to schools and individuals alike providing them with guitars, drums, keyboards, violins, and many other instruments.

A.J. Crawdaddy - Pandemically Induced New Blues Single Release Follows Up Fall Album

Tune into BlogTalkRadio TONIGHT
to Meet AJ in a LIVE Interactive Interview!

Purchase and Download the
Pandemic-Induced New Track

in a LIVE Interview
on BlogTalkRadio!
Monday, April 5, 2021 ~  9pm EST
Hosted by Vinny Bond Marini
"The band has released Steppin’ Out and I get
to sit with leader Angelo Rossi about his fascinating
career and the music he makes."
Additional guests on tonight's show:
Rev Peyton
A.J. Fullerton
Kat Danser

Born Angelo J. Rossi, AJ Crawdaddy is a gifted guitarist/vocalist who reached the pinnacle of the music industry in the early 1990s as a member of the multi-platinum pop-rock group Pablo Cruise.

A man who’s recorded with Jefferson Starship and worked with Jaco Pastorius, Hughie Lewis, Airto, Kid Andersen and Flora Purim, among others, he walked away from the music business for a career in sales after the release of Cruise’s last album. But his love for the business hasn’t waned. As gifted in studio as he is on stage, he’s owned and operated The Cave Studios in Mountain View, Calif., for years, recording many Bay Area artists, including two-time Blues Music Award nominee Terrie Odabi and guitarists Steve Freund and Terry Hiatt, just to name a few.

Mark Thompson Senior Writer for Blues Blast had THIS to say about STEPPIN’ OUT! on Cave Records.  (Mark now lives in Florida, where he is enjoying the sun and retirement. He is the past President of the Board of Directors for the Suncoast Blues Society and a former member of the Board of Directors for the Blues Foundation.)

And, another Florida-connection, Marty Gunther, had THIS to say about his previous 2018 release, SLOW COOKIN'!

Releasing Records in a Pandemic!
By AJ CRAWDADDY

"The business of selling music as an independent artist is getting crazy and evolving rapidly.  Where I once had CD Baby as my on-line store, that is no longer available.  CD Baby is so inefficient and cumbersome that I abandoned them and went with Distrokid for distribution on all of the, "Virtual Stores" and "Streaming" sites.  As I went through the process this time, I found that Bandcamp was and remains the best way to release an "Indie" record.  The ability to build your own "Album" complete with accurate credits and lyrics, identifying technical aspects of the recording is more like the Old School records of my day (60's ~ 70's).  There's more information to read and digest and I like that!  It's also quite versatile, for Merch sales and fan base capture.  Bandcamp enables the artist to see immediate monetary results and gives us access to those who purchase our music via a "touch" point, their email!!  The "other' corporate tools such as Apple Music, iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, etc., they remain aloof and not artist centric.  They alienate rather than include the artist in "touch" or true data gathering.  They steal it all and take their cut!  They give you a monthly report after the fact and it's too late by then.  Pretty distressing and onerous in my view.  The only reason I included them in the release was to keep my All Music, Grammy Voting status and even then, that is dubious as they seem only cater to the Major labels.  indie's get the short end of the stick.

So all hail the good folks at Bandcamp for building a vehicle that supports the artists and not the shareholders!  Bravo!"
AJ's UPCOMING APPEARANCES
All appearances are cancelled due to
Coronavirus.  Be safe out there people!
This just in from AJ! "First gig is this Saturday at the Wharf House in Capitola, CA. Out on a Pier, on the roof of the restaurant.. outside and the weather is shaping up! "

R.I.P. Duffy Jackson
"It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of our dear friend and colleague, drummer Duffy Jackson (1953-2021), following a prolonged illness. Duffy played and taught many times at the Nashville Jazz Workshop. He appeared frequently in the Jazz Cave as a leader, sideman, and with his big band. The son of bassist Chubby Jackson, Duffy had a distinguished career before moving to Tennessee. He played with Lionel Hampton, Count Basie, Milt Jackson, Monty Alexander, and many, many others. We’ll have more to say, but in the meantime please enjoy some video of his big band as we remember this jazz great who left us too soon."

NOT ABLE TO ATTEND,
BUT ABLE TO HELP?

BackroomLive Miami Cats

Backroom Live at The Fish House Miami is a venue where Live Music lives since 1996.  As a coincidence we opened the business on Elvis Presley’s birthday,  an omen for the amount of music we would present in the future.

Since the March 17, 2020 #stayhome mandate, there are about 100 canceled gigs and musicians out of work from our line up.   As you might know by now,  we present Jazz Wednesday,  Blues Thursday and rotational musicians during the weekends.

The donations will be distributed on your behalf to the artists that were scheduled to perform during this time.  If there is a surplus we will continue disbursements to any former artist who has performed in the past in BackroomLive like David Leon, Melinda Rose Rodriguez, Aurora Natrix, Joey Gilmore to mention a few.

Some of our regular Jazz Cats who will benefit are Marc Berner, Peter Betan, Federico Britos, Ahmed Barroso, Brev Sullivan and Blues musicians like Darrell Raines, George Caldwell,  Janey Wish, Motel Mel also who kept weekly gigs doing the Blues Jam on Thursday’s at BackroomLive.

Thank you for your donation and supporting our local artists.
