THIS WEEKEND

Sat 6/28, 8pm | Turk Mauro | JAZZ

Saxophone giant Turk Mauro is known worldwide for his precision and flare. First introduced to music through his father, a swing musician, Turk went on to play sax with Dizzy Gillespie. He then embarked on a stellar solo career that took him around the world. His comfort with a range of styles, from big band swing to hard bop and classic jazz, has earned him a spot as one of the most versatile saxophone artists in South Florida. Joining Turk to celebrate his 70th birthday will be Mike Orta, Nicky Orta, Danny Burger and Nicole Yarling, w/special Guests: Brother Ron Turso- drums, Christian Cummings -  alto sax, Randy Emerick - multi sax man, and Debbie Orta - vocals.
