Trumpeter Carl Fischer and his Sunshine City Brass, with special guest Mike MacArthur, headline this March 2026 outing for the Tampa Jazz Club.

Fischer was the featured trumpet player in Billy Joel’s touring band, and began his career with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra under Wynton Marsalis. He later served as musical director for trumpet legend Maynard Ferguson.

He has also collaborated with Chick Corea, Sting, Diana Ross, and Paul Simon. Sunshine City Brass formed during the pandemic and blends New Orleans-inspired grooves with contemporary brass energy.
