After having to cancel the festival for two years running
due to the pandemic, Blue Tavern is set to host its second
blues festival. Backyard Blues will be an all-day, all-ages
event, rain or shine with indoor and outdoor stages. A
stage has been constructed in the courtyard behind the
building, accessible from 5th Avenue. Music starts at 2 pm
on Saturday, March 26, 2022 and after our headline act
an open invitational jam is on til closing time.

Blue Tavern is a bar/coffeehouse/music venue in Midtown within easy walking
distance from Levy and Lafayette Park neighborhoods. Serving beer, wine,
coffee, tea, and sodas -- a perfect quiet spot to enjoy conversation, reading, art,
without TV or canned music.
Menu includes New Orleans style red-beans-and-rice with andouille sausage,
gumbo, vegan soup and vegan sandwich, grilled cheese sandwiches,
grilled ham / cheese sandwiches, and pressed Cuban sandwiches all at
very affordable prices. And now occasional special offerings.
Draft, craft and domestic beer, wine and champagne, soft drinks,
and of course coffee are always a moment away!
