"What could be better than a steaming bowl of chicken gumbo on a cold February day?
A sizzling performance to go with it.

This morning, Catholic Charities' North End Soup Kitchen (NESK) hosted Bill Wharton, “The Sauce Boss,” and his gumbo-making band members Justin Headley (drummer) and Michael Wheeler (bass), to treat more than 150 locals to a Cajun-style lunch and Florida slide guitar blues performance.

This rocking blues-meets-gospel trio is based out of Pensacola, Fla., and travels around the nation performing their music, but between their gigs make stops at the local soup kitchens and homeless shelters for a different kind of show."
