posted Oct 13 '09 - FORT LAUDERDALE - Maguire's Hill 16 Irish Pub is a downtown blues club with no cover and blues five nights per week. All the beautiful wood in this place makes for a great sound. Kitchen's open until 10pm. Music starts 8pm during the week, 9pm Fri & Sat, 4pm Sunday. It's electrified acoustic blues with Albert & Graham each Tuesday with Josh subbing when Albert is at Fat Cats. (Nico Wayne Toussaint sat in for the whole third set last night.) On Thursdays, it's The Bobby Nathan Band with their usual cast of unusual friends (and patrons barhopping along Andrews Avenue to and from the Downtowner Saloon). Juanita Dixon joins The Jeff Prine Trio each Sunday afternoon. A variety of bands perform on Fridays and Saturdays. The chocolate cream pie is to die for.
