Memorial Day Weekend to start with Memorial Motorcycle Ride In Sebastian Florida to kick off Blues Fest

EARL'S HIDEAWAY proudly presents the:
2nd Annual RIVERFRONT MUSIC FESTIVAL

Sat, Sun & Mon. - May 23, 24, & 25 1 PM start

Organized by the American Legion Riders with assistance from the Indian River County Firefighters, the KICK OFF Memorial Ceremony will be held on Sat, May 23 at 1:00PM at EARL'S HIDEAWAY Memorial Corner. City and County officials have been invited to participate.

This ceremony will begin with a ride in by Legion Riders from all over the district, forming up at CR 512 and Fleming, in the Appliance Direct parking lot. The procession will proceed east on CR 512, then north on US #1 to Jackson St., then south again on Indian River Drive to Earl's Hideaway.
Starting at 1 PM the ceremony includes an Honor Guard, 21 gun salute, Benediction, Speech by Chief James Watson, (original Navy Seal),wreath laying and a vocalist Linda Lugone singing GOD BLESS AMERICA. This ceremony in honor of our Fallen Brothers & Sisters and POW/MIA was organized by Art W. Sheridan of Post 39 in Vero Beach and friends, along with the Staff at Earl's Hideaway and Laura Vasquez from the IRC Firefighters Assoc., to pay tribute to those who have served our Country so that we may keep our freedom.

The 3 day RIVERFRONT MUSIC FESTIVAL kicks off at 1:30, directly after that with the playing of the Star Spangled Banner by our first musical guest, the Raiford Starke Band... There will be 15 nationally recognized music acts, and FREE LIMOSINE transportation for all attendees to and from all public parking in the vicinity, all day long. Watch for the shuttle signs. Lawn chairs welcome, NO COOLERS, please. Put on your dancin' shoes and get ready for 3 days of fun, food,music and comraderie'. Enjoy fantastic views, river breezes and help support these wonderful community causes. The event is FREE.

We have requested a Police Escort for our motorcycle procession and 2 trucks to drape our 20x 40 and 16 x 18 foot flags over to be parked on Indian River Drive near Earl's for the procession, which should last about an hour. The trucks are needed for about an hour. ( at which time, the flags can be folded by the Legion members and trucks removed) Please consider this an official request for help from your organization. We anticipate various major news networks to cover this event..

There will be a meeting for all those concerned at EARL'S outside TIKI BAR, 1405 Indian River Drive, Sebastian on Tues., May 19 at 11:30, if you wish to attend. Thank you for your time and co operation.

There will be FOOD, Arts & CRAFTS, prizes and giveaways all day long for 3 days and MUSIC, MUSIC, and more MUSIC. The event is FREE for all.
