Van Dyke Cafe on Lincoln Road Mall in Miami's South Beach Closing at Current Location

From Van Dyke's Facebook page 1/24/14

Yesterday, Saturday, December 28, 2013 CBS4 News, posted/aired the following reports that venue, Van Dyke Cafe, including its upstairs jazz lounge, may be closing due to increasing rental costs in the area.

The Van Dyke's Facebook commentary acknowledges the issue is real, but neither denies or affirms an outcome.

Some of the venue's ardent fans including Charlotte Libov, a well-known local music and culture advocate, have created a Save The Van Dyke Cafe on Lincoln Road Facebook page at: We recommend following that page for updates and more information.

Other businesses owned or managed by Graspa Group, owned, co-owned or managed by Mark Soyka and Graziano Sbroggio includes:

Spris:  (Lincoln Road Mall)
Salumaria: (Mid-town Miami)

The closing of this venue would effectively close down live jazz on Lincoln Road Mall. The Arena Lounge ( ), which recently opened, may be the alternative destination for those looking for live jazz in South Beach.
