Jazz vocalist, Jackie Ryan, has been called, "extraordinary -- a world-class talent!" by Don Heckman, jazz critic for the Los Angeles Times . Veteran jazz artist, Clark Terry calls Ryan "...a true jazz singer - and a damn good one, too!” Ryan will make her South Florida debut as the featured guest artist presented by the Gold Coast Jazz Society on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 for the Society’s jazz series at the Broward Center ’s Amaturo Theater. The concert begins at 7:45pm. The Amaturo Theater is located at

. Single tickets are $35 and $40 and student tickets are $10 with student ID. A pre-concert Jazz Riff jazz talk will be given by WXEL radio personality Stu Grant at 7:00pm in the theater before the show.
In honor of Valentine’s Day, the February 9 concert will include songs from her latest CD, Best of Love Songs. Her last jazz CD, Doozy, claimed the #1 spot for seven weeks on the Jazzweek charts. She has been a regular for the past eight year at the famedLondon jazz club Ronnie Scott’s Club and was asked to perform on Ronnie Scott’s own prestigious Jazz House label. Clark Terry, Toots Thielemans, Barry Harris, Cyrus Chestnut, Terry Gibbs, Buddy DeFranco, Red Holloway, Eric Alexander, Jeremy Pelt, Ernie Watts, Roy McCurdy, Benny Green, Amina Figarova, Mike Wofford, Larry Vuckovich, Jon Mayer, and Jon Hendricks are just a few of the legends with whom she has shared the stage.
Other discography includes her newest CD release Best of Love Songs, songs selected from three recordings released from 2002 to 2006 and This Heart Of Mine," featuring Toots Thielemans and two-time Grammy Award winner, Ernie Watts.
