"Bear Creek Music Festival: Partying Like It's 1969
Review of the sprawling funk, jam and jazz fest in Live Oak, Florida on November 10-14, 2010
Sunday was the dessert portion of the fest, as the Brian Stoltz Band (led by the Funky Meters guitarist) brought the Big Easy to an afternoon crowd at Uncle Charlie's Porch Stage. And New York City collective Lettuce, featuring Kininger, Krasno and Neal Evans, closed the Big IV Ampitheater with the historic additional horn section of Parker, Ellis and Wesley.
Already announced for next November's fifth annual Bear Creek is Medeski, Martin & Wood; John Scofield & Piety Street, The Funky Meters, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, Lettuce, George Porter Jr., Jon Cleary, Pimps of Showtime, and Medeski, Scofield, Martin & Wood."
