The 2010 Mount Dora Blues and Wine Festival started yesterday at 5:00 p.m., and runs through Sunday at the historic Lakeside Inn. The event will consist of three days filled with wine and song on the shores of Lake Dora. Top entertainers will take the stage to sing out the blues and throughout the festival there will be wine tasting events to sample some fine vintages featured by the wine shops in downtown Mount Dora. Tickets can be purchased for individual days or for the entire three-day event at a discount.
Saturday, the entertainment taking the stage and other events for the day include:
3 – 5 p.m. – Sebastiani Vineyards, Maggie’s Attic, the Wine Den and others will be hosting the “free” wine tasting event to sample some smooth top vintages.
3 p.m. – Shaun Rounds Band
4:30 p.m. – T Scott Troprockers Blues Band
5:30 p.m. – Awards for the “Best of Blues Wine” will be presented by celebrity judges
6 p.m. – Apple Mary’s Blues
7:30 p.m. – Miss Jacqueline Jones (Queenie and the Blue Krewes)
Sunday entertainment line-up includes:
12 noon – Selwyn Birchwood & Duces Wild with RJ Harmon on the Harmonica
1 p.m. – Beautiful Bobby Blackmon
2:30 p.m. – Rent Money Blues Band Jam
Ticket prices are $12 on Friday, $36 for Saturday and $12 on Sunday. Save $12 when you purchase a 3-day event ticket for $48 per person.
