Open Stage Club is one block north of Miracle Mile and one block west of Douglas Road (37 Avenue).  Open Stage Club is located on the street level of a municipal parking garage with plenty of convenient parking (garage entrance around the corner on Aragon Avenue).  There is metered parking available on the street.  Our advice is to park in the garage so you don't have to worry about the meter.

Crossing over between the indie, blues and jamband scenes for years with funk rock act Groove Thangs (signed to Epic, produced by Tom Dowd), eclectic barband Shack Daddys and his live Funky Roots Revue, South Florida roots rocker Bonefish Johnny has put out over half a dozen albums during his decades long career but none under his own handle. Until now.

Taking its title and imagery from concept records that were once a rite of passage in American song, Bonefish Johnny Sings The Blues is both tribute and celebration. Its lovingly curated set of soulful tunes feature guest appearances by Albert Castiglia, JP Soars, the late David Shelley, Nicole Yarling (Joe Williams, Jimmy Buffett), Jeff Watkins (James Brown, Joss Stone), Raiford Starke, Billy Vazquez, Jack Shawde (Ray Charles, Paul Butterfield) and others. Daughter of Louis Armstrong's long-time musical director, Luis Russell, GRAMMY® Award winner Catherine Russell returns! Ms. Russell has been making fans and friends since the 2006 release of her debut album, Cat. Her recent release, Bring It Back, follows her 2012 album Strictly Romancin', which topped the jazz charts and earned her the Prix du Jazz Vocal from L' Académie du Jazz Vocal 2012 (Vocal Album of The Year) by the Jazz Academy in France. With Billie Holiday lyricism and Sarah Vaughan depth, Catherine Russell—with guitarist Matt Munisteri, pianist Mark Shane, and bassist Tal Ronen—will again bring the audience to the edge of its seat on the way to their feet!

Those presented are a mix of touring artists and local performers that represent the best of what is available to lovers of live music across Florida.
