Jazz & Blues Florida On The Road!
A friend of many years, Joyann brought the stars out to see the show at this incredible venue in the bucolic countryside south of Barron WI. (Look it up - that will work better than me trying to explain the location to you.) Live music and real pizza, on a world-class level, with an innovative community-based business model. For only $5/seat you can RSVP for a table right on the patio, just feet away from the music and pizza kitchen. Brooklyn, the host, will guide you to the proper table, with a short speech about how things work so you feel right at home. Or, you can opt to make your own seating arrangements in the meadow just off the patio's two sides. You can make your way to the bar/lounge area in the bar to procure your desires from the full-service bar staffed by three friendly and attentive people with smiles on their faces. Or, you can haul your own in to your chosen spot under the evening skies. Same with the food - spend hours at home prepping the goodies the utensils, pack it all up, make sure it doesn't spill during the drive, lug it out to your encampment, OR just walk up to the pizza kitchen and put an order in for a pie of deliciousness that will be hot and ready in a bit. Timing the order is important, as mid-show the line was to the door for these slices of goodness.
The music was far-ranging, with selections from Joyann's originals across the years to select and requested covers from the attendees. It appeared that most where there as a return engagement due to the interactions across the drinking, dining and listening area. And what KIND of music was it? Well, it was VERY VERY GOOD MUSIC. As I've said before, when it is presented at Joyann and Mark's level of quality, the show does not need to create expected limitations of definition.
Lorin, the proprietor and creator of this enchantment, is an on-site host and enabler of his staff to get things done properly AND the main enabler of the guests being served up an evening that simply cannot be experienced elsewhere.
Stressed upon arrival from your week in reality? Go out to the pasture and talk with Raspberry a bit. That'll get you in the right frame of mind to enjoy the evening to the max.... and give you enough to get through Friday, too.
And have to close with an appreciative nod to Stop On Inn - Motel & Campground in Barron WI. The hotel room was valued much higher than the price paid ($72.48). Everything clean, neat, functioning with EXCELLENT water pressure and heat in the shower. (Ok. Now you all know what I truly want/expect when I get a room somewhere!) Thank you!
