The Betsy Announces Overture to Overtown Annual Jazz Festival 2016 - WEEK TWO



South Florida’s Best Performers 
are joined by International Talent for 
13 Unforgettable Performances – ALL FREE!

The Betsy’s Overture to Overtown Annual Jazz Festival will take place from March 7 to 20, 2016. Performers include South Florida’s best and brightest performers talent including Mike Gerber, Tom Lippencott, Joel DaSilva, Yami with Vinyl Blvd, Ed Calle, and international performer (in collaboration with the Israeli Consulate) Nadav Remez.

“We’re proud to feature musicians whose inspiration is drawn from the cultural contributions of historic Overtown, a place frequented by Louis Armstrong, Langston Hughes, and Billie Holiday, and that in its heyday was called the ‘Harlem of the South’,” said Jonathan Plutzik, Chairman of The Betsy Hotel.

All performances are free and open to the public in The Betsy’s Lobby Bar, located at 1440 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach.

Wednesday, March 16: Joel DaSilva - Blues Guitar, 8- 11pm; 
Thursday, March 17: Yamit / Vinyl Blvd - Jazz Trio, 8-11pm;
Friday, March 18: Dr. Ed Calle - Jazz Trio, 8-11pm;
Saturday, March 19 Mike Gerber (BRUNCH) Solo Jazz Piano, 1-4pm
Sunday, March 20: Nadav Remez (BRUNCH) Solo Jazz Piano, 1-4pm
