Overtown Holiday Spectacular!

10th Anniversary Special
Community Arts Program (CAP)
Overtown Holiday Spectacular!

Presents Local Children and Youth

Children and youth from throughout Miami
bring a spirited holiday program of classical, jazz, and pop styles.

4:00 p.m., Sunday, December 13 within Overtown's Historic St. Agnes' Episcopal Church (1750 NW 3rd Avenue 33136), the holiday season will be ushered in for the tenth year by a  spirit-filled holiday concert event, the Community Arts Program (CAP) Overtown Holiday Spectacular! Amidst a mix of Neo-Classical- and Mission-style designs, the home of one of Miami's oldest African-American congregations is the location for an exceptional afternoon of music, followed by a celebratory reception.

This FREE event is presented by the Community Arts Program (CAP) after-school Conservatory for the Arts and features its CAP Young Musicians' String Consorts, Chamber Ensemble, and CAP Miami Jazz Institute Jazz PREP Band and ALL-STAR Jazz Ensemble. CAP children and youth, including vocalists and faculty from throughout Miami, perform a program of classical, jazz, and pop styles, with newly-arranged holiday favorites and fun surprises hosted by local CBS4 Sports Anchor, Jim Berry. It's a perfect family event that concludes with a fully-orchestrated grand sing-along to usher in the most awesome holiday season of the year!
