The MJC honors Al Kanovsky, a wonderful friend of our organization and the entire South Florida jazz and blues community. For years, nobody but Al has been a nightly constant in the first row supporting jazz and blues, frequently seven nights a week. We take this opportunity to honor and salute our friend. We will feature the music of Irving Berlin, one of the greatest and most prolific contributors to the Great American Songbook. The evening will be directed by Jaui Schneider and will feature performances by Brenda Alford, Hana Dolgin, Nika Garcia, Lisanne Lyons, Nanami Murikawa, Wendy Pedersen, Lenard Rutledge, and Lucien Williams, and others.   UPCOMING RENT PARTIES December 7 MIAMI JAZZ TRIO Randall Dollahon Vince Maggio Jamie Ousley   December 14 Celebrate the holidays with JOE DONATO   The Piano Fund... Everyone attending a Rent Party is asked to donate $1 or more to the piano fund to assure that the piano is always perfectly-tuned.   The MJC's home for its famous Rent Parties, is worthy of our musicians and our audience, EVERY MONDAY NIGHT at 8 PM.  Admission is $10.  MJC Members and students with ID are admitted free.                WHERE?                   Open Stage Club                2325 Galiano Street                Coral Gables, FL 33134 Open Stage Club is one block north of Miracle Mile and one block west of Douglas Road (37 Avenue).  Open Stage Club is located on the street level of a municipal parking garage with plenty of convenient parking (garage entrance around the corner on Aragon Avenue).  There is metered parking available on the street.  Our advice is to park in the garage so you don't have to worry about the meter.
