Congratulations to Alvin Davis, Miramar High School music teacher, who was named the 2012 Macy's/Florida Department of Education Florida Teacher of the Year at a special awards ceremony on Thursday, July 7 at Orlando's Hard Rock Live at Universal Studios City Walk. Davis, who was named Broward County Public Schools Teacher of the Year 2012 in February, was one of five finalists chosen from more than 180,000 public school teachers throughout the state to compete for this prestigious title and honor.
