Romanza Festivale of Music and the Arts 2025 returns to St. Augustine, Florida from May 3 through May 18 with over two weeks of daily concerts, cultural exhibitions, and live performances presented in historic venues throughout the nation’s oldest city. This city-wide celebration showcases the talent of regional, national, and international artists across a wide range of genres—jazz, classical, dance, theater, and visual arts—offering both ticketed and free events designed to inspire, entertain, and engage audiences of all ages.

Romanza Festivale invites you to a memorable celebration of music and film this Mother’s Day, Sunday afternoon, May 11, 2025, at Lewis Auditorium in St. Augustine. This special event, Night at the Movies, features a live performance by Svetlana and the New York Collective, bringing the magic of the silver screen to life through music. Audiences will be treated to imaginative jazz interpretations of iconic movie soundtracks—from American cinema to French New Wave, European classics, contemporary Academy Award winners, and beloved animated films—all delivered with energy, artistry, and emotion.
Svetlana, an award-winning, chart-topping jazz vocalist and bandleader, brings a voice full of mystery and warmth to the stage. A former refugee from Russia with a PhD from Columbia University, she has built a reputation for forging deep emotional connections with audiences through her charismatic presence and musical depth. Her performance, inspired by her Billboard #1 Traditional Jazz album, promises a mix of cinematic dreaminess and fiery virtuosity. With humor, passion, and introspection, Svetlana and the New York Collective will guide listeners on a joyful musical journey that celebrates the enduring power of film music.
