HAVANA NOCTURNE WITH
AYMEE NUVIOLA & KEMUEL ROIG
To celebrate the month of romance, guests are invited to enjoy a special evening with multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy winner Aymée Nuviola and the exceptionally talented Cuban pianist Kemuel Roig.  Havana Nocturne is inspired by the filin movement of 1950’s and ‘60’s Havana, which was in turn inspired by U.S. jazz singers such as Nat ‘King’ Cole, Mel Tormé, and Sarah Vaughan.

SULLIVAN FORTNER
New Orleans native Sullivan Fortner, recently honored with two Grammy nominations, has received praise as both a soloist and as a collaborator with artists such as vocalist-composer Cecile McLorin Salvant, Paul Simon, Wynton Marsalis, Dianne Reeves, and John Scofield.  Pulling distinct elements from different musical eras, Fortner finds connections between diverse musical styles that are at once deeply soulful and wildly inventive.

LUCÍA
Lucía is a 23-year-old vocalist from Veracruz, México and the only Latin singer to have won the prestigious Sarah Vaughan Vocal Jazz Competition.  The offspring of a well-known Mexican musical family, Lucia’s singular artistic vision bridges the gaps between jazz, Latin, and pop music.  Lucia has collaborated and performed with leading artists such as Natalia Lafourcade, La Santa Cecilia, Quetzal and the National Jazz Orchestra of Mexico.

JARROD LAWSON
Soulful singer/songwriter Jarrod Lawson has a voice reminiscent of Stevie Wonder or Donny Hathaway and his aspirational original songs are simply irresistible. A native of Portland, Oregon, now based in Nashville, Lawson first found fame in the UK and Europe where he was named the UK Soul Artist of the Year.   A popular presence on the UK’s BBC and JazzFM stations, Lawson was recently included in Jazz FM’s Top 100 Artists of All Time.
