Keyboardist and composer Brian Simpson, who has regularly crossed from jazz to pop and R&B, will be joined on stage with Jackiem Joyner to co-headline Casselberry’s Spring Jazz and Art Festival on Saturday, March 26, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Lake Concord Park.
Simpson grew up in a musical family and eventually earned his music degree from Northern Illinois University. After graduating, he relocated to Los Angeles, where he found work performing with such artists as Boney James, Norman Brown, and Everette Harp. This led to stints touring with a variety of pop artists, including Janet Jackson and Teena Marie. One of latest collaborations includes creating great jazz sounds with Jackiem Joyner.
After more than 12 years as a recording artist, Joyner continues to stand out with electrifying live performances and brilliant music productions. As a performer, he has toured more than 30 countries and performed with the likes of the late George Duke, Marcus Miller, Keiko Matsui, to name a few. Joyner’s radio success is widely known within the industry. He has two number 1 hit songs and five top 10 Billboard singles.
During the event, come visit City Hall from 6-8 p.m. to view the "Experience Contemporary" exhibit that showcases the best contemporary artists from Central Florida.
Bring blankets, chairs and lots of friends and enjoy a spectacular jazz concert on the lakefront!
