The Gold Coast Jazz Quintet, led by Martin Hand, Music Director,
will feature the music of jazz’s most prominent African-American
jazz composers. This concert will include the music of Jelly Roll
Morton, Count Basie, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Duke Ellington,
Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker, Herbie Hancock, Quincy Jones,
Thelonious Monk, Oliver Nelson, Billy Strayhorn, Fats Waller,
Grover Washington Thad Jones and Charles Mingus.
Funding for this free performance is provided in part by funding
Arts Broward. Major support for the Gold Coast Jazz Society is
provided by the Broward County Cultural Division, the Cultural
Council, and the Broward County Board of County
