There are few musicians whose breathtaking technique, coupled with searing innovation, inexhaustible creativity and a charismatic personality, has made him a bass legend like none other before or since.   As one of the members of the fusion jazz band Weather Report, Jaco’s melodic “singing” bass style redefined the role of the bass in modern music and Weather Report remained one of the defining acts within the jazz form. The Jaco Pastorius Big Band, formed by long-time friend and fellow performer, Peter Graves, is a tribute to Jaco’s legacy as a compositional genius and bass virtuoso.  This 15-piece concert band features Ed Calle on saxophone and Julius & Felix Pastorius on drums and bass in a concert of fusion funk by unforgettable, world-renowned musicians.  The concert will include selections of Jaco’s original songs and arrangements.  $65.00 per person.
