"A Room Full of
People"
First, the good news: We are now serving food! Yes,
the kitchen is up and running, and so far the reviews have been outstanding. A
simple menu of sandwiches, hot dogs, and red beans & rice is available.
Come check out what Maggie's been cooking this week! Of course, this means no
more bringing in outside food, but you probably won't miss it too much...
The bad news is that we had to cancel tonight's (Saturday)
performance of Lis & Lon Williamson with Tim Higgins. The Williamsons'
house in Gatorbone has become a refuge for family members and they have to stay
put for now. Not to mention the roads just being bumper-to-bumper between here
and there. So we'll have to have them back sometime soon.
Tonight we're going to go easy, with Walter Belmont and some
friends coming in to play blues, so if you're looking for a place to go while
you're contemplating Irma, José, and their friends, come on down. We'll serve
up some red beans & rice and you'll forget all your worries.
Meanwhile, here's the lineup for the coming week. All shows are all-ages,
non-smoking/vaping. (There's a nice smoking lounge in the back yard: ashtrays,
tables, the works!)
