Several South Florida musicians have won International Blues Challenge Awards in the past and now, with this win, Terry has taken our area to the next level......make that the TOP LEVEL in the blues world.

BTW, although this is after the fact, I'd like to share an article that appeared in the Sun Sentinel the day before the Blues Music Awards took place.  It was written by Deborah Ramirez who was part of our group of 30 that attended the awards......http://www.sun-sentinel.com/entertainment/fl-pp-hanck-soars-blues-awards-050912-20120509,0,2615390.story

Additional congratulations also go out to several other of South Florida's finest muisicains - J P Soars who also was on the BMA ballot in the "Best Contemporary Blues Male Artist" category and Matt "Guitar" Murphy who was inducted into the Blues Hall Of Fame.

As Chip Eagle, the editor of Blues Revue Magazine just discovered and wrote about in this month's issue says, "The blues are really happening in Florida".
